An analytical procedure for speciation of As in urban aerosol samples was developed. The aerosols were collected by sequential filtration through membrane filters. Part of each filter was investigated by INAA for the total amount of As. Another part of the filters was treated by a sequential extraction procedure to differentiate between water-extractable, phosphate-extractable and refractory chemical forms. Water-extractable forms were further differentiated into anionic As species by HPLC-HGAFS. Extractability of As into water exhibited a clear dependency on the aerosol size fraction (12% in coarse fraction and 50% in fine fraction). Dependency of the phosphate extractable As on the aerosol size fraction seems not to be significant (10-15% in both size fractions). The remaining amount, i.e., about 78% of the coarse As and about 40% of the fine As was considered to be refractory or environmentally immobile As. Water-extractable As forms could only be attributed to arsenate. 相似文献

Effect of dicationic gemini surfactants C16H33(CH3)2N+-(CH2)
s
-N+(CH3)2C16H33, 2Br− (where s = 4, 5, 6) on the reaction of ninhydrin with L-isoleucine has been investigated spectrophotometrically as a function of [gemini],
[L-isoleucine], [ninhydrin], and pH. The reaction follows first- and fractional-order kinetics, respectively, in [L-isoleucine]
and [ninhydrin]. The gemini surfactant micellar media are found more effective for the reaction than their conventional monomeric
counterpart CTAB. Furthermore, whereas typical rate constant (k
ψ) increase and leveling-off regions are observed with CTAB and geminis, the latter produce a third region of increasing k
ψ at concentrations ≥ 60 cmc’s. 1H NMR studies reveal that this unusual third-region effect of the geminis is due to changes in their micellar morphologies.

Whole and dehulled flours of millet cultivars Ashana and Dembi were stored for 30 and 60 days before and after radiation and/or cooking. Phytic acid and polyphenols contents were assayed for all treatments. The results revealed that the storage period was found to have no effect on phytate and polyphenols contents. Moreover, dehulling of the grains reduced more than 50% of phytate and polyphenols of both cultivars. Cooking of the raw whole and dehulled flour significantly (P≤0.05) reduced phytate and polyphenols contents for both cultivars. Radiation process alone had no effect on phytate and polyphenols contents but when followed by cooking significantly (P≤0.05) reduced the level of such antinutrients for the whole and dehulled flour of both cultivars. Dehulling alone significantly (P≤0.05) decreased Ca and P content but slightly decreased Fe content. Radiation alone or in combination with cooking was found to have slight effect on minerals content of the whole and dehulled raw flour for both cultivars. Cooking alone or in combination with radiation of whole or dehulled raw flour significantly (P≤0.05) improved the extractable Ca but had no significant (P≤0.05) effect on extractable P and Fe for both cultivars. 相似文献

We prove in this paper a generalization of Hardy’s uncertainty principle on the semi-direct product \(K\ltimes \mathbb R ^n\) , and we solve the sharpness problem. The change in the morphology of a series of dicationic gemini surfactants C(14)H(29)(CH(3))(2)N(+)-(CH(2))(s)-N(+)(CH(3))(2)C(14)H(29), 2Br(-) (14-s-14; s=4-6) on their interaction with inorganic (KBr, KNO(3), KSCN) and organic salts (NaBenz, NaSal) have been thoroughly investigated by means of (1)H NMR spectral analysis and the results are well supported by viscosity measurements. The presence of salt counterions results in structural transition (spherical to nonspherical) of gemini micelles in aqueous solution. With an increase in salt concentration all the three gemini surfactants showed changes in their aggregate morphology. This change is dependent on the nature and size of the added counterion. The effect of inorganic counterions on the micellar growth is observed to follow the Hofmeister series (Br(-) < NO(3)(-) < SCN(-)). The roles of organic counterions are discussed on the basis of probable solubilization sites of the substrate molecule in the gemini micelles, showing more growth in case of Sal(-) than Benz(-). The results are confirmed in terms of the obtained values of chemical shift (δ), line width at half height (lw), and relative viscosity (η(r)). Also, the growth of micelles was most pronounced for the gemini surfactant with the shortest spacer (s=4). This was attributed to the unique molecular structure of gemini surfactant micelles having flexible polymethylene spacer chain linking the twin polar headgroups. 相似文献
